1. Entertainment only
Motion to Complain is a fictional social game. It is not a court, law firm, legal service, arbitration service, emergency service, debt collector, or method for creating or enforcing real legal obligations. Verdicts, Petty Cash, and sentences have no legal or monetary value.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 and provide accurate account information. You are responsible for activity on your account and may not impersonate another person. Teen participation is limited to private, invitation-only Circuits. We may suspend or remove an account for safety, fraud, rule violations, or legal compliance.
3. Private Circuits
Circuit members choose their administrators and configurable court rules, subject to these mandatory platform rules. Circuit administrators may manage members, roles, settings, cases, and ordinary reports. Platform safety decisions override Circuit settings when necessary to protect people or the service.
4. Platform conduct rules
Do not submit or encourage:
- threats, bullying, harassment, stalking, hate, or discrimination;
- sexual content, sexual exploitation, or intimate imagery;
- child exploitation or content that sexualizes a minor;
- self-harm, violence, dangerous acts, or illegal activity;
- impersonation, fraud, spam, or another person’s private information; or
- photos or other content you lack the right and appropriate consent to share.
Sentences may never require danger, illegality, humiliation, sexual activity, real-money payment, harassment, discrimination, coercion, unwanted contact, or disclosure of private information. Participation in any offline sentence is voluntary. Anyone may refuse an action that feels unsafe.
5. User content
You retain ownership of your content. By submitting content, you grant Motion to Complain a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, copy, process, display, moderate, and remove it only as needed to operate, secure, improve, and legally administer the service. You represent that you have the rights and permissions necessary for your submissions.
6. Reporting, blocking, and moderation
You can report supported content and block or unblock accounts. A block does not remove either person from a shared Circuit, but prevents shared cases, court roles, appeal voting, and direct contact; an active case involving both accounts closes without a decision. Circuit administrators review ordinary Circuit concerns. Serious reports may be reviewed by the platform safety team through a private Safety Console. We may restrict access, quarantine or remove content, preserve evidence, suspend accounts or Circuits, and contact appropriate authorities when reasonably necessary. When automated screening is enabled, it reduces risk but cannot identify every violation, so user reporting remains important.
7. Petty Cash and subscriptions
Petty Cash is fictional. It cannot be purchased, transferred for real value, redeemed, or exchanged for money and is not a cryptocurrency or financial account. Any subscription or digital feature purchase offered through the iOS app will use Apple’s in-app purchase system and will be described before purchase. Complimentary beta access may change with advance notice and reasonable treatment of open cases.
8. Enforcement and appeals
We may warn users, remove content, limit features, suspend or terminate accounts or Circuits, or take other proportionate action. In-app case appeals are game mechanics and do not appeal platform safety decisions. Contact support@almostseriousapps.com if you believe a platform action was made in error.
9. Availability and changes
Features may change, be paused, or be discontinued for safety, technical, legal, or business reasons. We use reasonable care but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or permanent preservation of every attachment.
10. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, Motion to Complain is provided “as is” and “as available.” Nothing in these terms limits consumer rights that cannot legally be waived. You remain responsible for your real-world conduct and interactions with other users.
11. Contact
Questions, safety concerns, and legal notices may be sent to support@almostseriousapps.com. For immediate danger, contact local emergency services; Motion to Complain cannot provide emergency assistance.
